Benefit From Friendly Care, Amenities, And Dental Sedation
Northwest Dental Group has been helping patients of all ages in Rochester, MN and surrounding areas improve their oral health for over half a century. In that time, we have seen countless patients dealing with dental anxiety for some reason or another.
Maybe your childhood dentist wasn’t as gentle as they could have been. Or perhaps a relative of yours endured a painful experience back before dental instruments were as well designed as they are now. No matter where you dental anxiety originated from, we can help. It’s important you know you’re not alone – as many as one in five Americans experience dental anxiety.
One indispensable tool we use to help patients with dental anxiety isn’t a tool at all, but a group of people – our friendly team of dental professionals and dentists. When you visit us, we will greet you warmly and listen intently to what you have to say. We’ll make you feel truly heard, address any concerns you have, and help you achieve your smile goals.
Because we understand how intimidating a clinical setting can be, we do our best to make the atmosphere of our offices inviting to our patients. You’ll even enjoy lots of natural light instead of the harsh fluorescents you might associate with other dentists.
We have also invested in state-of-the-art dental technologies that make your care more precise and comfortable for you. For example, if we need to take impressions for some reason, we will use our digital scanner instead of the messy, uncomfortable methods of the past.
So you don’t have to feel anxious about people coming and going, we have private care rooms. We can also give you an extended appointment by request so you won’t feel rushed. To help calm your nerves some, we supply various amenities, including:
- TVs and headphones in every care room to distract you and help keep your mind occupied while we work
- Cozy blankets
- Soft pillows
- Refreshments in our reception area
If all that doesn’t help you relax, we can also administer dental sedation options, including
- Nitrous oxide, more commonly known as “laughing gas,” which is so mild it’s safe even for kids
- A pre-op sedative, which will provide in the form of a pill you’ll take right before your procedure to relax
- Oral conscious sedation, which is similar to our pre-op sedative, but is a little stronger and will be taken before you arrive at our office
We’ll answer any questions and explain what you should expect from each treatment and from sedation before we begin.
