Dr. Ashley Valesano became a dentist because she loved and excelled in both art and science. She believes dentistry is the perfect combination of the two. She also likes to work with patients and develop relationships with them over the years.
Dr. Valesano, a native of Nisswa, completed her undergraduate and dental school education at the University of Minnesota and started working here in 2015. One of her favorite things about dentistry is seeing how improving a patient’s smile can restore his or her confidence. It’s one of the reasons she volunteers at the Good Samaritan dental clinic, from which she received the Compassion Award in 2018.
Dr. Valesano is certified in inhaled sedation, local anesthetic, and CPR/AED/first aid. She has received training in OSHA and HIPAA compliance, implant dentistry, same-day dental crowns, and Invisalign.
Dr. Valesano strives to give each patient her full attention, relieve their anxieties, and perform quality work. She feels that her patients appreciate that she always gives them 100 percent. It’s very rewarding to her to see her patients smile when they have overcome their fears, gotten out of pain, and are finally confident with their new smile.
In addition to dentistry, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their two dogs. In the summer, you may catch her boating and biking, and in the winter, she enjoys downhill skiing.
