Improve Your Denture Experience With Implants!

Ever since the earliest dentures were made over 2000 years ago there have been problems. Problems of construction, of the proper materials to use, and most of all how to get them to stay put! In the years since the earliest dentures we’ve corrected a lot of those problems but we still seem stuck on how to keep dentures reliably in place.

At Northwest Dental Group we think we’ve solved that problem. You can throw away those pastes, creams, and adhesive strips. We can keep your dentures exactly where you want them with dental implants! it’s the new revolution in dentures: implant retention!

What Are Implant Retained Dentures?

Implant retained dentures use a series of dental implants, usually up to four, to create a base for your dentures. The implants are titanium screws that are placed in your jaw, and once healed are restored with either a bar or a series of metal balls. Your dentures are then modified to include clasps or sockets which clip right over your implants to provide stability and reliability throughout the day!

In many cases you won’t even need new dentures! We’ll simply make changes to yours, saving you a lot of money and time!

Why Get Implant Retained Dentures?

If you’ve ever struggled with your dentures, dealt with embarrassment, or wished you could find a better way to live then implant retained dentures are definitely for you! They pair the reliability of dental implants with the affordability of dentures into the perfect solution!

Eat The Foods You Love

How often do you have to think about your next meal, and not because you’re looking forward to it, but because of your dentures? If you’re like a lot of other denture wearers you spend a lot of time thinking about your dietary restrictions!

With implant supported dentures those restrictions will be a thing of the pasts. With few exceptions you’ll be able to eat all your favorite foods again! Not only will this make mealtime more enjoyable, but you’ll also be getting more nutrients that you were missing out on with dentures! A lot of our patients report feeling more energetic, happier, and able to do things they wouldn’t dream of with dentures!

No More Gum Pain

When you chew in dentures all the forces go right into your gums. They were never meant to handle all that force and it can get pretty painful! How many times have you had to switch to liquids or softer foods because of redness, irritation, and inflammation? Once is too many times!

With implants all the forces of chewing are going where they’re meant to: into the bone. Your dentures will feel well-supported, stable, and pain-free when you eat.

Smile And Speak With Confidence

A lot of our denture patients report trouble with speaking and smiling – not only is there a piece of plastic over the roofs of their mouths but their dentures occasionally just fall out when speaking! You’re in for a treat with implant retained dentures!

Not only do you not need the roof of your mouth covered, but you’ll also never have to worry about slippage while speaking! Implant retained dentures are truly stable, strong, and only come out when you choose to take them out!

Live A Better Life

Countless denture patients spend their days thinking about how to live life around their dentures. With implant retention you can stop doing that and simply life with your dentures. They’ll go from being a hassle and an embarrassment to a part of life that you simply put in and forget about. No more avoiding social situations, being careful not to smile too wide, or choosing just a few foods on a menu. You can just live better!
