Dr. Valesano, a native of Nisswa, completed her undergraduate and dental school education at the University of Minnesota. One of her favorite things about dentistry is seeing how improving a patient’s smile also can restore his or her confidence. She also volunteers at the Good Samaritan Dental Clinic.
Dr. Valesano is certified in nitrous oxide sedation, local anesthetic, and CPR/AED/first aid. She has received training in OSHA and HIPAA compliance, implant dentistry, same-day dental crowns, and Invisalign.
In addition to dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their two dogs. In the summer, you may catch her boating and biking, and in the winter, she enjoys downhill skiing.
University of Michigan graduate Dr. Vander Broek has been part of our team since 2015. After dental school, he completed a one-year general practice residency at Carolinas Medical Center. He also completed one-year fellowships at the National Institutes of Health and at the University of Michigan Medical School. He has achieved fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Vander Broek and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and volunteering.
Dr. James Vu was born in Saigon, Vietnam. After his mother passed away in 1991, he and his three older sisters immigrated to Canada and lived with their aunt in Saskatoon. Dr. Vu pursued his undergraduate science education at the University of Calgary on a full-ride scholarship. From there, Dr. Vu moved on to receive his bachelor’s degree in medical sciences in Edmonton. He graduated with Dean’s honors from the University of Alberta, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Vu is passionate about dental implants and is a proud member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He is a graduate of the Vancouver AAID MaxiCourse, a comprehensive yearlong implant educational continuum with over 300 hours of didactic and surgical training. It is Dr. Vu’s priority to stay up to date with current dental technology and methods of treatment. His philosophy is to treat all patients like family. He feels that communication and trust are essential in everyday practice. Patients always come first.
In his spare time, Dr. Vu enjoys doing something creative. He keeps in shape by running and swimming three times a week, which helps balance his love of eating. Just the idea of food interests Dr. Vu. The biggest and most important part of Dr. Vu’s personal life is enjoying life with his wife, a physician and cardiologist.
